Barbara Perrotti
To keep the excitement in a painting involves putting down a color that leaves one breathless and picking up a brush that feels too big for the job. It is my obligation to myself to keep that "little light of mine" burning. I begin each of my paintings by abstracting the subject. It is then (as I teach my students) my choice of what degree of reality I bring to the canvas. To be an artist is a privilege. It gives me the opportunity to share with others a way of seeing. l am forever fascinated with color, shapes, and texture. They are like precious gifts that have been given to me to convey what I feel about the world around me.
Barbara's paintings are impressionistic romanticism using three mediums oil, pastel, and acrylic. Barbara is listed in Who's Who in American Art, and her paintings are in numerous public and private collections.
