I’ve always been interested in art as a physical and digital medium. As a kid, I enjoyed drawing and sketching and would enter art contests. I went to school at Northern Arizona University to study Art & Visual Communications. Eager to get a jump start as a corporate designer, I worked as a graphic designer for the university while a student and went on to work for multiple design agencies before ending up as a graphic designer for a large beauty brand. After 11 years of working in offices, I started missing making my own hands-on art as a means of expression. After a couple of stressful years in lockdown during COVID, I decided to get back to what I really wanted to do. I moved to Ormond Beach, Florida, where I now create and show my own art pieces.

The beach has always felt like home, and my artwork pulls inspiration from the ocean. One day, my brother came to me after breaking his surfboard and asked me to paint it. After pouring a resin design over the board and returning it to him, he loved it so much that I felt encouraged to paint more surfboards. I continue to paint ocean-inspired pieces on canvas in addition to resin pours over surfboards. I favor marine life subjects, beach scenery, and ocean water themes. In my collection, you will see the subjects surrounded by smooth open space gradients or by lively, energetic color streaks. I incorporate the use of spray paint, acrylics, and cool colors, meeting warm color accents to create calming, balanced, and harmonious compositions.
